Mrs Latham

Mrs Latham was a wonderful person who is very much missed by all in our school. We would like to share our memories of her time with us with you and would love all who knew her, colleagues, students, parents and friends, to share their memories with us.

  1. I will never get over seeing her dressed as a Christmas tree for Children in Need! She really knew how to have fun in school as well as how to get the best from children and colleagues. I miss her dearly.

  3. Mrs Latham was passionate about working to help others and involved our school in so many worthwhile charities and fund-raising events. Her Year 6 pupils often took a lead in organising the activities for the rest of school, and had great fun doing so - helped undoubtedly by the almost inevitable dressing up for the occasion! We miss her very much.

  4. Mrs Latham was a remarkable and courageous woman. As a teacher, she was committed to inspiring children to make the world a better place for others - but always through fun and zany activites! She was a whirlwind of energy that we all deeply miss!

Zachary remembers her as "that nice lady that wore a banana on her head and who gave me a sticker at Fair Trade".

Mrs Latham was an amazing woman and a fabulous teacher. Her enthusiasm was infectious.

In June of next year a few Mums and a Dad will be running the Jane Tomlinson 10k. The money I raise will go to the MacMillian Support Group in memory of Mrs Latham. It is just a shame that Rifka will never experience being taught by Mrs Latham.

  7. Dawn Lennie - Alex and Jasmin's mum14 December 2010 at 19:53

She took my eldest girl Alex to Windmarlie Hall as a shy and quiet child and brought her home with so much confidence it was unbelievable. My youngest, Jasmin tells me that she was the one who always skipped with her at playtimes. She never skipped less than 100 times!! She will be missed for all her energy and enthusiasm (and most of all her skipping!)

  10. Bethany's confidence and maturity grew tremendously during her time in year 6 as a result of the wonderful opportunities provided by Mrs Latham. Mrs Latham's warmth, energy and enthusiasm will be greatly missed and our thoughts are with her family at this dreadfully sad time.

Mrs Latham, i will always remeber you as a person who went out of their way to help others. it's unfortunate that i didn't get the chance to come back and say thank you.

  12. I feel privileged to have been taught by Mrs Latham. I have many fond memories of her, including her patience, her encouragement and her kindness. Winmarleigh Hall was a highlight,Mrs Latham had so much energy; even when we had finished all the days activities she joined in with all our fun and games in the evenings.
I went to the memorial service and I will never forget her and what a fantastic teacher she was.

  13. Mrs Latham was a wonderful person to work with, always thinking of others, always full of energy and fun ideas, and always had a cup of tea waiting when I arrived each morning whatever the pressures on her day! Though I miss you I cherish the memories you have given me.

  14. Mrs Latham and I started at All Saints together and so it now seems a very strange and sad place without her here now. She was always busy, never sitting still for more than a few minutes at a time. She would even eat her dinner on the go. Her dedication and enthusiasm for the children she taught was amazing. However, her greatest credit was her four beautiful daughters. The strength of character they showed at the service last week was inspirational.

  15. Mrs Latham went out of her way to welcome me to All Saints - however busy she was, she always had time to stop and chat. She was an inspirational teacher and colleague who seemed able to pack an almost impossible amount into each day!

  16. Just wanted to say what a great time Ella had in year 6. It was lovely to see her mature under the guidance of Mrs Latham and I know this has made it so much easier to cope with the transition to Prince Henry's. She was obviously an incredably brave and courageous lady, and she will be missed.

  17. One of my best memories of my time in primary school and with Mrs Latham was the Easter production in Year 6 (2008). When I was Mary and Ryan Peters was Joseph, we only had 1 line to say each, then I had to put the baby in the manger, unfortunalty I managed to drop the baby!!!!! The whole audiance started laugthing!! After being suitablely embasaressed I rushed off stage, and remember Mrs Latham saying,"Eva, don't go into childcare!"

3 years later it still makes me laught to think about it, I have many happy memories of Mrs Latham, she is sorely missed by everybody in my Class. xxx
